Love wine? The Presidential Wine Cruise on Carnival could become habit-forming. This is the second year that Carnival President Bob Dickinson has hosted a cruise for his Presidential Wine Club, this year sailing from Miami on the Carnival Valor.

The club is basically a vehicle to intoduce a wide range of wines to afficionados, with a monthly maildrop of two or more bottles of wine. The annual cruise serves to publicize the Club and provide a gathering place for wine producers and other vendors to meet wine buffs.

Naturally, it's fun for wine lovers to get together, and where better than in the upbeat, slightly decadent atmosphere of a cruise ship to the Caribbean? Participants attend tastings, seminars and workshops, and Presidential Wine Club members receive a range of langiappes from wine and crystal suppliers - nice!

The vivacious Lisa Shea of WineIntro will be shepherding a group of wine explorers on the cruise - it's bound to be a lively time.

The 7-day cruise departs Miami on December 3, 2006, stops at Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Martin, and returns on December 10.

Space is limited - reserve cabin space here to join Lisa's WineIntro group.
