Newest passport & travel regulations Although the current regulations state that you don't need a passport to cruise outside the U.S. for example, to the Caribbean, you WILL need a passport to get back into the country if you should, God forbid, take ill and need to be flown home! Ay,ay,ay! Gala Bermuda Cruise July 2007 We'll be attending the CGOA Chain Link conference and Summer Knit & Crochet Show in Manchester, New Hampshire in July 2007, and have blocked space on a 7-day Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines' Majesty sailing out of Boston on Sunday, July 15. The cruise coincides nicely with the end of the conference, and we will be offering bus transport from Manchester to the Boston pier, so join us! Love wine? The Presidential Wine Cruise on Carnival could become habit-forming. This is the second year that Carnival President Bob Dickinson has hosted a cruise for his Presidential Wine Club , this year sailing from Miami on the Carnival Valor . The club is basically a vehicle to intoduce a wide range of wines to afficionados, with a monthly maildrop of two or more bottles of wine. The annual cruise serves to publicize the Club and provide a gathering place for wine producers and other vendors to meet wine buffs. Travel Advisory: Effective Jan. 8, 2007 , all individuals traveling by sea or air from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda , and the Caribbean (with the exception of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) will require a passport or other accepted official form of identification to enter or re-enter the United States. If you will be traveling to or from the U.S. in 2007, be sure to review the new requirements and begin the process of applying for or renewing your passport. As of Dec. 31, 2007, travelers entering or re-entering the United States from Canada or Mexico via land border crossings will be required to present a passport or other accepted official form of identification. The new requirements are part of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) which is one element of a much larger law, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004.
